If you made the pizza you have the dough 😉
So if you read yesterdays entry on how to make Neapolitan Pizza you might notice you have some left over dough and sauce. You have enough of everything to actually make 4 pizzas. I made 2 for Hubz and I. Today I used the rest to make garlic knots!
What you need:
-Pizza Dough (see recipe above)
-Marinara (see recipe above)
-2 tbsp. vegan butter
-2 tbsp. olive oil
-6 cloves of garlic minced
-1 tbsp. parsley chopped
-1 tbsp. basil chopped
-Salt and Pepper to taste
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Take out your dough and add some bread flour to your surface. Using your hands break apart pieces and roll them out into ribbons. Then tie them into a knot. Use a sheet of parchment on a baking sheet and give it a good spray with non stick cooking oil and place them.
On the stove start melting your butter, olive oil, and garlic together.
Once fragrant and melted turn off the heat and stir in your basil and parsley.
Using a basting brush add the sauce to the top of your garlic knots. Add them into the oven and let them bake for about 25 minutes. About 5 minutes from being finished reheat your marinara from the night before.
Then plate! These are really yummy, not something you see people make everyday but if you decide to try out the pizza definitely make these the next day!!
