Homemade Habanero Hot Sauce

It’s vegan. duh.

So my Hubz has been doing a pepper eating challenges (with himself) for the internet (on my youtube) and because of that I had a ton of Habaneros left over. So I made hot sauce. Here’s how…

What you need to spice up yo life:

-1 yellow onion diced

-4 to 6 cloves of garlic sliced

-2 to 4 habaneros (I did 3) sliced

-1 red hot chili pepper sliced

-3 large tomatoes diced

-1 cup of distilled white wine vinegar

-2 tbsp. organic cane sugar

-2 tsp of kosher salt

-2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil


In a small pot add your olive oil and set to medium/high heat. Then add your habaneros, onion, and garlic. Begin to sauté. If you want less heat (spice) from your peppers you  can remove the seeds .


Once that has started to brown add your vinegar, tomatoes, sugar, and salt. Let it simmer on medium heat till the tomatoes start to fall apart.


Once the tomatoes are mushy carefully transfer the mix into a blender or food processor and blend on high for about 10-30 seconds.


Using a strainer pour the hot sauce back into the pot through it allowing the mushy parts and chunks to stay separated.


It should then look like this.


Then using a funnel bottle it up! This actually a kambucha bottle I just removed the label from!
