For the poppin’ b*tch
Popcorn is an amazing snack to feed the midday cravings. However the microwavable stuff is pretty gross. If you feel intimidated to make your own on the stove. Don’t worry it’s super easy. Here’s how.
-1/2 cup popcorn kernels
-1 tbsp. coconut oil
-1/2 tsp kosher salt
-3 tbsp. chopped dill (1 reserved for the end)
-Fresh ground pepper to taste
-2 tsp nutritional yeast
-2 tbsp. vegan butter
Start by adding your coconut oil and three kernels. Set the stove to medium high heat and watch. Once all three have popped your oil is at the right temperature. Remove the pot from the heat and fish out your three kernels. Add the 1/2 cup of kernels and wait about 30 seconds. Then put the pot back on the stove and prepare for some popping!
And definitely keep an eye for this. Once it’s full remove from the heat. I got distracted making an Instagram story (follow me and watch me pimp my cats!).
Heat your butter on low heat and add 2 tbsp. of the dill, pepper, nutritional yeast, and salt. Once done put everything into a mixing bowl. When I went to separate them I added a pinch more nutritional yeast and fresh dill (I really like dill).
